Position Available

Retail Assistant / Cashier (Full-Time)

The Retail Assistant / Cashier plays an important role in ensuring smooth daily store operations and delivering positive customer experiences. This position requires individuals who are attentive, responsible, and capable of working in a fast-paced retail environment.

Job Responsibilities

As a Retail Assistant / Cashier, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

Cashier Operations

Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system accurately

Process cash, card, and digital payment transactions

Handle refunds and exchanges according to company policies

Ensure accuracy in cash handling and daily cash reconciliation

Customer Service

Greet customers in a polite and professional manner

Assist customers in locating products within the store

Answer basic product inquiries

Maintain a friendly and helpful attitude at all times

Stock Replenishment and Merchandising

Refill shelves and ensure products are neatly displayed

Monitor product expiry dates and perform proper stock rotation

Assist in receiving and organizing incoming deliveries

Ensure promotional items are displayed correctly

Store Maintenance

Maintain cleanliness of the store floor, cashier counter, and storage areas

Ensure aisles are safe and free from obstruction

Follow hygiene and safety guidelines at all times

Operational Support

Assist the Store Manager or Supervisor with daily operational tasks

Support inventory checks and stock counts

Perform other duties assigned by management when necessary

Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided to ensure that all employees understand store procedures, safety standards, and customer service expectations.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Salary and Compensation

Monthly Salary: SGD 1,800 – 2,700

The salary range depends on several factors, including:

Assigned work shift

Work experience

Individual performance

Overtime hours (if applicable)

Night shift allowances (if assigned)

Employees who demonstrate strong performance and reliability may have opportunities for salary progression and promotion to higher positions such as Senior Retail Assistant or Store Supervisor.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Working Hours and Shift Schedule

7-Eleven stores operate 24 hours a day. Employees will be assigned one of the following shifts:

Morning Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Night Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Shift assignments are arranged by store management. Applicants must be willing to work on rotating schedules, including weekends and public holidays when required.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Work Arrangement

6 working days per week

1 rest day (rotational)

Full-Time permanent role

Attendance, punctuality, and discipline are important aspects of this role. Employees are expected to follow the assigned shift schedule responsibly.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Requirements

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

Male or Female

Minimum age of 21 years old

Physically fit and able to stand for extended hours

Comfortable handling cash transactions

Responsible and detail-oriented

Good communication skills

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Willing to work on shifts

No prior experience required (training provided)

Candidates with previous retail, supermarket, or cashier experience will have an advantage, but beginners are strongly encouraged to apply.
