Salary: SGD 2,500 – 2,650 per month
Schedule: Six-day work week, Day Shift 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM, Night Shift 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Position Overview

The Food Packer plays a crucial role in the daily production and packaging process. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Food Packers are responsible for ensuring that bakery and other food products are packed accurately, safely, and efficiently, in compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements.

The position requires coordination with production staff, quality control teams, and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow, timely order fulfillment, and consistent product quality.

This role offers opportunities for both day and night shifts, with flexible scheduling options to accommodate individual availability.

Responsibilities

1. Product Packing Operations
Accurately pack cookies, pastries, bread, cakes, and other bakery and food products according to SOPs.

Follow daily production schedules and packing instructions carefully.

Ensure correct quantities, flavors, sizes, and packaging formats for each batch or customer order.

Securely wrap, seal, and package products to protect them during storage and transportation.
Apply accurate labeling including product name, batch number, manufacturing date, and expiry date.

Organize finished goods for dispatch or storage.
Maintain both speed and accuracy, particularly during peak production periods.

2. Quality Assurance and Food Safety
Conduct thorough inspections of products before and during the packing process.

Ensure all items meet company standards for freshness, appearance, and safety.

Identify and separate damaged, contaminated, or incorrectly labeled products.

Report any non-conforming items promptly to supervisors.

Strictly follow hygiene and safety regulations to prevent contamination.

3. Inventory and Material Management
Prepare and replenish packing materials including boxes, trays, plastic packaging, and labeling supplies.

Monitor usage of materials to prevent shortages during production.

Assist in stock counting and recording of packed goods at the end of each shift.

Maintain an organized and hygienic storage area for all packing materials.

4. Hygiene, Cleanliness, and Housekeeping
Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift.

Regularly clean packing tables, trays, tools, and equipment.

Dispose of waste materials according to company protocols.

Follow daily cleaning schedules assigned by supervisors to ensure compliance with hygiene standards.

5. Teamwork and Coordination

Coordinate with production operators and supervisors to meet daily output targets.

Support colleagues during urgent orders or changes in production schedules.

Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations and workflow efficiency.

Assist colleagues as needed to maintain operational productivity.

6. Workplace Safety and Compliance

Adhere to all company safety rules, SOPs, and hygiene regulations.

Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times, including gloves, hairnets, masks, and uniforms.

Participate in safety briefings and ongoing training sessions.

Follow instructions carefully to prevent workplace accidents.

7. Additional Duties

Assist with sorting, labeling, loading, and unloading goods when required.
Support other operational tasks assigned by supervisors.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for packing efficiency and workflow optimization.

Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist in multiple areas of production.

Candidate Requirements
No prior experience required; full training will be provided.

Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.

Comfortable performing repetitive tasks with high accuracy.

Responsible, disciplined, and punctual.

Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Willing to follow strict hygiene and safety standards.

Night Shift: 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM
