Patient Service Associate (Public Healthcare Sector)
Salary Up to $3,500 per month
Location: West Region (Bukit Batok and multiple clinic locations available)
Employment Type: Contract Position with Opportunity for Permanent Conversion
Working Days: 5.25 Days per Week (No Sunday)
Working Hours (Staggered Office Hours):
• 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
• 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Salary, Compensation and Benefits

• Monthly Salary Range: $2,200 – $3,000

Overview of the Role
The Patient Service Associate plays a critical role as a frontline representative within the healthcare institution. This position is responsible for ensuring that patients receive efficient, professional, and compassionate service throughout their visit. The role requires a balance of administrative responsibilities and basic clinical support functions.
As the first point of contact, the Patient Service Associate is expected to uphold service excellence standards while ensuring smooth coordination between patients and healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities and Duties
Patient Registration and Front Desk Operations
• Manage patient registration processes accurately and efficiently

• Schedule and manage appointments, including rescheduling and cancellations
• Process referrals and coordinate follow-up visits
• Handle billing and payment collection using approved systems
• Maintain confidentiality and data accuracy at all times
Patient Interaction and Customer Service
• Serve as the primary point of contact for patient enquiries
• Provide clear and accurate information regarding clinic services and procedures
• Guide patients through the clinic flow to ensure a smooth experience
• Assist patients with the use of self-service kiosks and mobile healthcare applications
• Educate patients on healthcare initiatives such as Healthier SG and self-care practices
Administrative and Coordination Duties
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate records in the system
• Prepare and organize documentation for daily operations
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and allied healthcare staff
• Liaise with vendors and external parties for programme-related activities
• Support logistics planning for healthcare programmes and events
Basic Clinical Support
• Conduct simple health screenings, including blood pressure, height, and weight
measurements
• Ensure equipment used for screening is properly maintained and ready for use
• Assist healthcare staff in preparing patients for basic procedures when required
Communication and Follow-Up
• Handle incoming calls and respond to patient enquiries in a professional manner
• Conduct follow-up calls for appointment
reminders and patient updates
• Provide timely and accurate communication to ensure patient satisfaction
General Operational Support
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the work area
• Support daily clinic operations to ensure efficiency and compliance
• Adhere to all healthcare policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Contribute to a positive team environment and collaborative work culture
Requirements and Qualifications
Basic Requirements
• No prior experience in healthcare or patient service required
• Minimum basic educational qualifications
• Ability to communicate in English at a functional level
• Basic computer literacy, including data entry and use of simple systems
